Live AI Interface

Lina brings OpenAI models to your website: visitors can find information, compare offers and carry out authorised actions in your systems through conversation. Five components work simultaneously in one session: voice and Liveboard connect Lina to the visitor, tools connect her to the website’s systems, and intelligence and context sit in between.

Voice

Lina holds a natural conversation in real time.

Transport
Audio streams continuously over WebRTC, directly between the browser and the speech model.
Conversation
Lina leads the conversation freely, without a script: she asks, explains and gives reasons.
Interruption
When the visitor cuts in, Lina stops speaking and listens.
Captions
What is said appears live as text.

Liveboard

Lina presents information on a surface next to the conversation. The visitor makes selections there by tapping, and Lina picks up the selection in the conversation.

Components
Text, stat, card, choice, facts, table, bars, score, image, website preview, list, tags, comparison, steps, timeline, callout, input field and action button, arranged in columns, rows, grids and tabs.
Return channel
A selection or short entry goes back to Lina as information. On its own it triggers no business action.
Validation
Every scene is checked before it is displayed. No model-generated code runs in the browser.
Central maintenance
We develop components, rendering and tool descriptions together. On the next page load, your Hosted embed loads the SDK version selected by the runtime.

Intelligence

Lina consists of two models. The speech model leads the conversation; the backend work model handles multi-step tasks.

Speech model
Understands the request as the conversation unfolds, clarifies open points and replies.
Work model
Evaluates data, calls tools, weighs options and composes scenes for the Liveboard.
Delegation
Lina hands a task to the work model and keeps talking. The Liveboard shows what is being worked on.
Your instance profile
Configure instructions for both models, voice, startup context and supported models and parameters per app. Publish reviewed changes as a separate version.

Context

Speech, displayed scenes, selections and tool results work together. You decide which content is retained beyond the individual conversation.

Session
Everything said, shown and selected in the current conversation is available to Lina.
History
With Hosted history enabled, authorised conversations can resume with their last Liveboard scene. You choose the retention period.
Profile
With profile updates enabled, confirmed preferences and open requests can be retained for later conversations.
Identity
For signed-in visitors, the website’s backend confirms who is speaking and which context is authorised.

Tools

Connect Lina to your shop, CRM, calendar or custom software. Our tool gateway executes the functions you authorise and brings their results back into the conversation.

Connection
Your own HTTPS tools and remote MCP over Streamable HTTP. Existing APIs and integration services can connect through suitable tools.
Your functions
You define tool descriptions, inputs, results and permissions. One app can combine advice, research and business workflows.
Effect
Every tool is declared as read or write.
Result
Succeeded, needs input, pending, failed or uncertain. Lina reports something as done only on a confirmed result.
Safeguards
Every call carries an idempotency key against duplicate execution. The models never see credentials.

Use cases

What a conversation with Lina looks like on your website. Three capabilities in three examples – applicable to any website where people want advice.

Advise and compare

A watch boutique: Lina asks about occasion, style and budget, compares suitable models and reserves a fitting in the boutique.

  1. 1RequestOccasion, style and budget in conversation
  2. 2LiveboardThree models with picture, size and price
  3. 3ActionReserve a fitting in the boutique
Tools of this website: Catalogue search (read) · appointment booking (write)

Configure and calculate

A car dealership: Lina puts the specification together in conversation, recalculates the lease on every change and books the test drive.

  1. 1RequestColour, trim and monthly budget
  2. 2LiveboardCar, instalment and specification at a glance
  3. 3ActionBook the test drive
Tools of this website: Vehicle configurator (read) · lease calculator (read) · test drive (write)

Weigh up and decide

A new-build project: Lina shows suitable apartments, roughly calculates the financing and arranges a viewing at the show home.

  1. 1RequestSize, location, balcony and equity
  2. 2LiveboardApartments compared with monthly instalment
  3. 3ActionArrange the viewing
Tools of this website: Apartment inventory (read) · financing calculator (read) · viewing (write)

The retailers and the housing project are examples. The watches and the car are real products with prices from the manufacturers or the ADAC catalogue (October 2026); the lease is an example calculation. Which data and actions Lina uses on your website is defined by your tools.

Erfindergeist · Architecture

The interaction layer for OpenAI-powered experiences.

Erfindergeist brings real-time conversations, generative user interfaces and AI agents that execute actions together in a unified, embeddable runtime for digital customer interactions.

Maintained centrally

  1. SDK and Liveboard as immutable versions
  2. New version on the next page load
  3. Running conversations keep their version
  4. Your profile is never overwritten

The model key stays with us. Your developer key lives in the development client, the separate backend key in your backend. The visitor’s browser only receives the short-lived session token.

Setup

Set up Lina with Codex, Claude Code or your development team directly in your existing website project. A documented API, management MCP and website starter provide the path. We run the Lina server and provide model access.

  1. 01Connect the project

Create a developer key in the customer area and set up the API or MCP in your coding agent. It can use the existing project context.

  2. 02Configure Lina

Define profile, voice, startup context and your own tools. The coding agent can create the configuration through the same documented contract.

  3. 03Embed on the website

Adapt the starter for the SDK and session endpoint to your website. Visitor access and authorised context are confirmed in your own backend with a separate key.

  4. 04Check and publish

Confirm the domain by DNS, check readiness and publish the app version explicitly. A conversation only starts when the visitor starts it.

Monitoring

In the customer area you follow running sessions and open authorised conversation histories. You decide which content is stored and for how long; access follows roles and permissions.

Activity
Running sessions in real time.
Transcript
Stored conversation content as text, as far as the configured recording captures it.
Liveboard history
Recorded scenes and selections in the flow of the conversation.
Tool receipts
Every call with its result; confirmed, running and uncertain kept apart.
Usage
Used and remaining minutes.

Security and operations

Protection along the whole conversation: every station checks on its own, none relies on the one before.

FAQ

Do I need my own OpenAI key?

No. Model access is included.

Which systems can I connect?

Shops, CRMs, calendars, data sources or custom applications: Lina calls suitable HTTPS or remote MCP tools through our gateway. Existing APIs and integration services can provide the connection. Available functions depend on your software’s interfaces and the access you authorise.

Can I configure behaviour and tools myself?

Yes. Set instructions for the speech and work models, voice, startup context and supported model parameters. Your own tools use your descriptions, schemas and permissions. We maintain the shared Liveboard components and platform tools.

How do improvements reach my embed?

We version the shared platform core, Liveboard tools and matching SDK together. With the Hosted bootstrap, your website loads the matching SDK version on the next page load. Your app profile remains under your control. Manually pinned SDK versions need a coordinated update.

Can one app cover several workflows?

Yes. One app can combine, for example, advice, appointments and service requests. Separate apps make sense for different audiences, instructions or access boundaries.

What does the visitor need?

A current browser and microphone permission. No installation.
